Last week our two young people at Woodthorn View went on a camping trip. Usually the two team members who would be ‘on shift’ would take them away, but the Woodthorn View team all wanted to join in.
They l didn’t want to miss out on making memories with our young people, even when it was outside of their “job role” and they were “off shift”
They didn’t want to miss out on making memories with each other too (it was a major case of FOMO!).
Catherine Rollason has created a home where the young people and team have relationships built on love, trust and care…and it really shows in how the young people have flourished.
It’s not many managers who can say their team would “work” (camp) for free, but that’s what happens when you have a skillful manager, a great company culture and a whole lot of love…it turns from a “job” into a vocation, a passion and a joy to do.
