Woodthorn View is a contemporary four bedroom home which accommodates up to two children and young people who have the following challenges:
• Physical disabilities ASD or ADHD
• Learning disabilities
• Sensory Impairment
• Emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
It is available for children and young people aged 8-17, of any gender (dependent on matching).
The well-trained team create a caring, secure, warm and homely environment. Their practice is based on the Positive Behaviour Support model and their consistent therapeutic support helps young people achieve a better quality of life. They work in close partnership with social care and health agencies.
Newton Aycliffe is close to several special education and/or disability schools and those with enhanced mainstream provision.
